Satin ribbon is available in a variety of widths and lengths to suit different purposes and projects.
Ribbons size comes in a range of typical sizes from 1/8 inch (3mm) to 3 inches (100mm) or more. or sometimes more. However, the most commonly used widths for satin ribbon are 1/4 inch (6mm), 3/8 inch (9mm), 1/2 inch (13mm), 5/8 inch (16mm) and 1 inch (25mm).

Larger ribbons are better for fashion. 2" to 4" ribbons are great for making bows, headbands or hair ties. You can make them for yourself or as stylish accessories for children and babies, for the bride and bridesmaids or to tie on wedding invitations and favours. Wide ribbons can be used as a belt to cinch up dresses or add a pop of colour to a plain outfit.

In terms of ribbon length, satin ribbon is usually sold in spools or rolls rather than cut to length. Common spool lengths for satin ribbon range from 50 yards (45 metres) to 100 yards (91 metres) or more. However, we can supply ribbon by the metre or in pre-cut lengths for special applications.
